ORDINANCE NO. 53-80 <br /> <br />BY: Wendling, Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br /> Graham, Salmon, McBride <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE amending Section 353.03 of the Traffic <br />Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood relating to the <br />parking time limits for off-street parking. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure pro- <br />viding for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health <br />ans safety and for the usual daily opeation of a municipal department; <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section 353.03 of the Traffic Code of the <br />Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, now reading as follows: <br /> <br />353.03 Parking Time Limits <br /> <br />a) Parking or standing a vehicle in the spaces designated within <br />off-street parking areas shall be lawful for any per[od as specified <br />by appropriate signs in designated areas of the municipal parking <br />garages or upon the deposit of the coin or coins required for <br />legal parking time and in a sufficient amount so as to prohibit <br />any vehicle so parked from being parked overtime in such space, <br />as such time and amount are disclosed on the meter installed-"for <br />the control of such space. - .... <br /> <br />b) The Director of Public Safety is hereby authorized and <br />directed to establish the location and time limit for designated'" <br />areas in the municipal parking garages and for each individual <br />parking meter which is installed for the control of each parking <br />space, and the amount of coin required to be deposited therein. <br /> <br />c) Pa~king meters shall be operated in the off-street parking <br />areas every day between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. except <br />Saturdays, Sundays and holidays as specified in Section 355.05(b). <br /> <br />shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />353.03 Parking Time Limits <br /> <br />a) Parking or standing a vehicle in the spaces designated within <br />off-street parking areas shall be lawful for any period as specified <br />by appropriate signs in designated areas or in the municipal parking <br />garages or upon the deposit of the coin or coins required for legal <br />parking time and in a sufficient amount so as to prohibit any <br />vehicle so parked from being parked overtime in such space, as such <br />time and amount are disclosed on the meter installed for the control <br />of such space. <br /> <br />b) The Director of Public Safety is hereby authorized and directed <br />to establish the location and time limit for the parking or standing <br />of vehicles in spaces designated within off-street parking areas <br />and spaces designated in the mun~.~ipal parking garage and for each <br />individual parking meter which is installed for the control, of each <br />parking space, and the amount of coin required to be deposited therein. <br /> <br />c) Parking meters shall be operated in the off-street parking areas <br />every day between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. except Saturdays, <br />Sundays and. holidays as specified in Section 355.05(b). <br /> <br /> <br />
