ORDINANCE NO. 53-80 BY: Wendling, Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, Salmon, McBride AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE amending Section 353.03 of the Traffic Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood relating to the parking time limits for off-street parking. WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure pro- viding for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health ans safety and for the usual daily opeation of a municipal department; now, therefore, OF OHIO: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE Section 1. That Section 353.03 of the Traffic Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, now reading as follows: 353.03 Parking Time Limits a) Parking or standing a vehicle in the spaces designated within off-street parking areas shall be lawful for any per[od as specified by appropriate signs in designated areas of the municipal parking garages or upon the deposit of the coin or coins required for legal parking time and in a sufficient amount so as to prohibit any vehicle so parked from being parked overtime in such space, as such time and amount are disclosed on the meter installed-"for the control of such space. - .... b) The Director of Public Safety is hereby authorized and directed to establish the location and time limit for designated'" areas in the municipal parking garages and for each individual parking meter which is installed for the control of each parking space, and the amount of coin required to be deposited therein. c) Pa~king meters shall be operated in the off-street parking areas every day between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays as specified in Section 355.05(b). shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 353.03 Parking Time Limits a) Parking or standing a vehicle in the spaces designated within off-street parking areas shall be lawful for any period as specified by appropriate signs in designated areas or in the municipal parking garages or upon the deposit of the coin or coins required for legal parking time and in a sufficient amount so as to prohibit any vehicle so parked from being parked overtime in such space, as such time and amount are disclosed on the meter installed for the control of such space. b) The Director of Public Safety is hereby authorized and directed to establish the location and time limit for the parking or standing of vehicles in spaces designated within off-street parking areas and spaces designated in the mun~.~ipal parking garage and for each individual parking meter which is installed for the control, of each parking space, and the amount of coin required to be deposited therein. c) Parking meters shall be operated in the off-street parking areas every day between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. except Saturdays, Sundays and. holidays as specified in Section 355.05(b).
