BY: <br /> <br />Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br />McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br />~/~N~E~IERGENGYYORDINA~CE authorizina the Director of Economic and Community <br />~De~61opmen,t to enter into a contract with the Center for Human Services for <br />~.tb:e.~del~,~y of professional services of the Harrison Cares Day Care Facility <br />~'~to appropriate $105,000 from the 1981 Community Development Block Grant <br /> <br /> ~WHEREAS, under the Community Development Block Grant, the City has <br />· .~i§m.~ed~,to~perform certain Community Development activities, and <br /> <br /> :~WHEREAS, in said application one of these activities was the Harrison <br />Day '~are Facility,,and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there has been identified an urgent need for a day care <br />facility for Lakewood's low and moderate income families, ana <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure oroviding <br />for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Economic and Community Development <br />be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the <br />Center for ~uman Services, the form of the agreement to be substantially in the <br />form of the agreement attached her,~to as Exhibit "A". and made a part hereof. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the cost of this contract in the amount of $105,000 <br />be appropriated from the 1981 Community Development Block Grant Fund. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in <br />an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council <br />and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were in meet- <br />ings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements including <br />Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure, for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thrids of all members elected to council~ it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period <br />allowed by law. <br /> <br />Approved.'~~~'~/ <br /> <br /> <br />
