ORDINANCE NO. 24-81 BY:Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham. McBride, Salmon, Wendling AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Section 149.112 of the Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood to provide for a perfect attendance bonus for Foreman Class A employed by the City of Lakewood, WHEREAS, this Council desires to provide for a perfect attendance bonus for all Foremen Class A employees of the C~ty, and WHEREAS, the current perfect attendance bonus for hourly employees whQ are members of the Collective Bargaining Unit is provided for in a Collective Bargaining Agreement, and WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That Section 149.112 of the Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood now reading as follows: 149.112 PERFECT ATTENDANCE BONUS. All full time-time, permanent, hourly employees who are members of the Collective Bargaining Unit whQ complete on~.year with perfect attendance (no days absent for any reason whatsoever) shall be entitled to receive a bonus of three hundred ($300.00) dollars. In 1979, the period for computing this bonus shall be from March 1 to December 31, thereafter it shall be computed on a calendar year basis (January I to December 31). Vacations, holidays, funeral leave, military leave, jury duty/witness leave and union leave shall not be counted as days absent. Personal leave, sick leave and sick leave without pay shall be counted as days absent. (Ord. 38-79. Passed 4/2/79) shall be and the same is hereby, amended to read as follows: 149.112 PERFECT ATTENDANCE BONUS. Effective January l, 1981, all Foremen Class A employees of the City who complete a quarter of a year with perfect attendance (January 1 to March 31; April 1 to June 30; July 1 to September 30; October 1 to December 31--no days absent for any reason what- soever) shall be entitled to receive a bonus of $100.00 for each quarter no absence is recorded.-Vacations, holidays, funeral leave, military leave, and jury duty/witness leave shall not be counted as days absent. Personal leave, sick leave, sick leave without pay shall be counted as .days absent. Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
