ORDINANCE NO. 25-81 <br /> <br />BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE fixing the compensation of the Clerk of <br />the Lakewood Municipal Court, the time and method of payment <br />thereof and repealing Ordinance No. 22-80 adopted April 7, 1980. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Municipal Court Act, Revised Code Section 1901.31 <br />provides that the legislative authority of this municipality <br />shall fix the annual salary of the Clerk of Courts, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Act further provides that the compensation of the <br />Clerk shall be paid three-fifths from the City Treasury and <br />two-fifths from the Treasury of the County in which the City is <br />located, and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure provid- <br />ing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department in that <br />in the interest of public service, welfare and safety, it is <br />necessary to flx the compensation of the Clerk and direct the time <br />and method of payment thereof, now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE It ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the compensation of the Clerk of the Lakewood <br />Municipal Court is hereby fixed at $30,600.00 per annum effective <br />March 8, 1981. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Director of Finance of the City of Lakewood <br />is hereby authorized and directed to pay three-fifths of the <br />compensation of the Clerk as herein fixed, from the City Treasury <br />in semi-monthly installments or in equal installments every two <br />weeks. <br /> <br />Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided <br />it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor, and Ordinance No. 32-80 <br />adopted April 7, 1980 and all other ordinances or parts of <br />ordinances inconsistent herewith, shall be and hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br />Approved:~~-?. /<~ <~ l.. <br /> <br /> <br />
