ORDINANCE NO. 67-81 <br /> <br />Substituted Ordinance 67-81 for <br />Ordinance referred to Finance <br />Committee on July 27, 1981. <br /> <br />BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> McBride, Salmon,,Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE fixing the annual salary for Assistant <br />Director of the Department of Economic and Community Development effective <br />July 1, 1981. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department in that in the interest <br />of public service, welfare, and safety, it is necessary to create positions <br />and fix the compensation of employees; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That, effective July 1, 1981, Paragraph V, Section 1 <br />of Ordinance 22-81 relating to the annual salary of the position of Assistant <br />Director of th'e Department of Economic and Community Development now reading <br />as follows: <br /> <br />V. Department of Economic and Community Development <br /> <br /> Assistant Director $18,000 - 25,500 <br /> <br />shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />V. Department of Economic and Community Development <br /> <br /> Assistant Director $18,000 - 26,250 <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the adoption of this Ordinance were adopted <br />in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this <br />Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were <br />in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements includ- <br />ing Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof add provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immedately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest <br /> <br />period allowed by law. <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br /> <br />
