ORDI~qNCE NO. 86-81 <br /> <br />BY: Brown, CHinnock, Gallagher, <br /> Graham, McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE appropriating the sum of THIRTY THREE THOU- <br />SAND NINE HUNDRED ($33,900.00) DOLLARS from the unappropriated balance of <br />the General Fund for the operation of the Youth Services program of the City <br />for the last quarter of 1981 (Octoberl, 1981 to December 31, 1981). <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as of September 30, 1981, Federal funds which provide for the <br />100 percent support of the Youth Services program of the City wi. Il. be terminated, <br />and, <br /> WHEREAS, because of the success of said Youth Services program and <br />its influence on the City's young people it is imperative that such program <br />by continued, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the appropriation of City funds would enable the City to <br />continue its Youth Services program, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the immediate preservation of the public safety and welfare and for the <br />usual operation of a Municipal Department; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the sum of THIRTY THREE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED <br />($33,900.00) DOLLARS is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated balance <br />of the General Fund to be used for the operation of the Youth Services pro- <br />gram of the City for the last quarter of 1981 (October 1,1981 to December 31, <br />1981). <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of <br />this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were <br />adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations <br />of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal <br />action, were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal re- <br />quirements including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; <br />otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allow- <br />Adopted:ed by law. ~, <br /> If,FI <br /> <br />Approved: _~~. _rv~j ? <br /> <br /> <br />
