ORDINANCE NO. 65-82 <br /> <br />BY: Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, McBride, <br /> Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE to supplement Chapter 1.123 of the Zoning Code of the Codi- <br />fied Ordinances of the City of Lakewood to permit informational type signs on <br />church and school properties in all zoning districts. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, under the provisionS of our present Zoning Code, informational <br />signs are not permitted in all zoning districts, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the churches and schools of our community are an intregal <br />part of the community and government should encourage participation in the <br />activities of these vitally essential institutions, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this COuncil is of the opinion that in all zoning districts <br />residents of the community should be apprised of the local community activities <br />of its churches and schools, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council is of the opinion that it is in the best <br />interest of the community to permit informational signs on church and school <br />properties in all zoning districts of the City; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE ~T ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Chapter 1123 of the Zoning Code of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of Lakewood shall be and the same is hereby supplemented <br />by enacting new section 1123.17 to read as follows: <br /> <br />1123.17 CHURCH AND SCHOOL SIGN EXCEPTIONS. <br /> <br />Subject to the provisions of Section 1329.10(c)(3) of Chapter <br />1329 of the Building Code, bulletin boards as defined in Section <br />1329.03(b)(2/ of Chapter 1329 of the Building Code, shall be <br />permitted on church and school properties in all zoning districts. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in <br />an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council <br />and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were in <br />meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements including <br />Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from <br />and after the earliest period allowed by law and all ordinances or parts of <br />ordinances inConsistent herewith shall be and the same are hereby repealed at such <br />time. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />A pproved:~ <br /> <br /> <br />
