ORDINANCE NO. 33-83 <br /> <br />BY: Brown, CHinnock, Gallagher, <br /> Graham, McBride, Salmon, Wendlin! <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE creating the Urban Parks Grant Improvement Fund <br />under the Capital Projects Fund and additionally appropriating funds <br />therefore. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has received a grant from the U. S. <br />Department of the Interior for the improvement of the Lakewood Board of <br />Recreational scheduling techniques, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intent of this Council that the grant shall be <br />utilized in a contract with the Regional Planning Commission to complete <br />said study, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for <br />the public health and safety and for the usual daily operation of a <br />municipal department; now, therefore <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to create the <br />Urban Parks Grant Improvement Fund under the Capital Projects Fund of <br />the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the sum of $10,000 to be received as revenue from the <br />U. S. Department of the Interior as the grant is hereby appropriated for <br />the purposes of entering into a contract with the Regional Planning <br />Commission for completion of said study. <br /> <br />Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were <br />adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all said delibera- <br />tions of this Council and that of any of its committees that resulted in <br />such formal action, were in meetings open to the public in accordance <br />with all legal requirements including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised <br />Code.' <br /> <br />Section 4. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />adoption and approval by the Mayor, otherwise it shall take effect and <br />be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />Approved' .~_~ ./.~/./?r-~ <br /> <br /> <br />
