77-83 Appropriate funds for office phone equip & furnishings

ORDINANCE N0o77-83 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, McBride, Wendling AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE providing for the appropriation of funds from the City of Lakewood's Capital Improvement Fund for a purchase in the amount of $45,121.80 for the purchase of Electronic Telephone Equipment and Office Furnishings and Equipment. WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Lakewood has determined that the Office on Aging should move forward with the purchase of an Electronic Telephone System and Office Furnishings and Equipment to furnish the new Satellite Office of the Office on Aging located at Fedor Manor; now, therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIO: Section 1. That the sum of $45,121.80 now and is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the Capital Improvements Fund for the purpose of purchasing Office Furnishings and Equipment and Electronic Telephone System. Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council ?ncerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such delibera- tions of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise it shall take effect and be in force after the eariest period allowed by law.
