0~~ I~. 27-84 ~.- Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, McBride, Salmon, Wendling AN ~ ORDINANCE to supplement Section 1323.07 of the Building Gode of the Oodified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood relating to the revocation or disapproval of registrations of contractors, WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the citizens of the City of Takewood that the failure of oDntractors to abate violations within the time specified in the written notice of violation should be grounds for revocation of the oontractors registration to practice within the City of T~kewood, WHEREAS, the immediate nGW, therefore, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing preservation of the public health, safety and welfare for Section 1. That Section 1323.07 of the Building Oode of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood now reading as follows: 1323.07 RBDCATIC~ OF ~B~ISTRATIC~ The Building C~,~,issioner may disapprove or revoke any Certificate of Registration or renewal thereof issued under provisions of this chapter for one or several of the following reasGns: (a) Misrepresentation of a material fact by the applicant in obtaining the Certificate of Registration or renewal thereof. (b) The use of the Certificate of Registration by the registrant in obtaining a building permit for work to be performed by a c~)ntractor or builder other than the registrant. (c) Violation of or nonoompliance with any provision of any applicable Code or Ordinance of the City in the performance of any work done pursuant to the Certificate issued hereunder. shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 1323.07 REVOCATI(IN OF ~EGIST~ATIC[~ The Building C~m,,,issicner may disapprove or revoke any Certificate of Registration or renewal thereof issued under provisions of this chapter for one or several of the following reasons: (a) Misrepresentation of a material fact by the applicant in obtaining the Certificate of l~=gistration or renewal thereof. (b) The use of the Certificate of Registration by the registrant in obtaining a building permit for work to be performed by a contractor or builder other than the registrant. (c) Violation of or noncompliance with any provision of any applicable Oode or Ordinance of the City in the performance of any work done pursuant to the Certificate issued hereunder. (d) Failure to abate a violation or non-~0mpliance with any provision of any applicable code or ordinance of the City of Lak~ within the time specified in the written notice of such violation or nonoompliance. Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this Ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, ar~ that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its ccm~ittess that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public, in ccmpliance with all legal requir~aents including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
