ORDINANCE NO. 71-84 <br /> <br />BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing and directing the Director of <br />Public Works to cause a plat to be made of the territory known as the Lakewood <br />Clifton Prado Project as soon as can be conveniently done showing the location <br />of the streets and alleys already dedicated and those proposed.' <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 735.17, the Director <br />of Public Works shall be the Platting Commissioner of the City and shall <br />provide regulations governing the platting of all lands to require all streets <br />and alleys to be the proper width and coterminous with adjoining streets and <br />alleys, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council deems it expedient to plat that portion of the <br />City designated as the Lakewood Clifton Prado Project in which the necessary <br />streets have not as yet become public streets, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for <br />the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby auth- <br /> orized and directed to plat that portion of the City of Lakewood designated the <br /> Lakewood Clifton Prado Project as soon as can be conveniently done showing the <br /> location of the streets and alleys already dedicated and those proposed. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of <br /> this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were <br /> adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of <br /> this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action <br /> were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements <br /> including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br /> measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives <br /> the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take ef- <br /> fect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; <br /> otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allow- <br /> ed by law. <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> / <br /> <br /> <br />
