ORD-~AqCE NO. 21-85 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br /> Graham, McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br />Piayoz tx-officio Director of Public Safe~y to Lake competitive <br />bids without advertising and to enter into a contract for the <br />repair of the snorkel fire truck of the Division of Fire, <br />Department of Public Safety. <br /> <br /> i~HEREAS, in order to properly maintain the operation of <br />the Division of Fire of the D-p~r=m.=nt=' ~ - of Public Safety of the <br />City of Lakewood, it is immedianely necassary ~o enter into a <br />contract for the repair of the snorkel fire ~rucK of the Division <br />of Fire, and <br /> <br /> 6~HEREAS, pursuant to Secnion 1il.04 (a) (3) of the Codi- <br />fied_ Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, consracts which are <br />Ge~ermined by the Council 5o be necessary no meeu an emergency <br />arising in connecuzon w~th the opera%ion of a City depa=Lm=n=~' ~-~ ~ or <br />any equipment ~hereof, may be enuered into without adversising <br />and comp=ti%ive bidding, and <br /> <br /> ATHEREAS, this Council de~ezmines %na% the repair of the <br />snorkel f~re truck is ~mmediateiy necessary to meet an emergency <br />which has arisen in connection with the operatior, of tile Division <br />of Fire in that the snorkel fire truck has been taken out of <br />service due to its present condition, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, t~is o£dinancc constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the usual daily oper~sion of a munlclpal department <br />end it is immediately necessary to enter into a contract for the <br />aforesaid repair for the immediate preservation of the public <br />health, safety and welfare; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the M~yor ex-officio Director of <br />Public Safety be and he is hereby authorized and directed to <br />competitive bids wit[nout advertising and to enter into a contract <br />for the repair of the snorkel fire truck of the Division of Fire, <br />Departmen~ of Public Safety. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found 'and determined tn.at all formal <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to ~he passage of <br />t[~is ordinance were adopted in an open meeuing of ntis Council, <br />and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its <br />committees that resulted ir] such formal action, were in meetings <br />op~n to the public, in co~npliance with ail legal requirem?n~s <br />including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br /> Section 3.
