Placed on FIRST Reading on 3-3-86 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 24-86 <br /> <br />BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br /> McBride., Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE creating positions and fixing <br />salaries of the annual sats~ied employees in the several de- <br />partments and divisioms of the City of Lakewood, excluding the <br />Divisions of Police add Fire, eff~%iwe April 1, 1986, and <br />creating the positions and fixing the annual salary of the Chief <br />of Police, the Chief of Fire add Civil Service Commissioners, <br />effective January 1, 1986. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department <br />in that in the interest of public service, welfare and safety, it <br />is necessary to fix the compensation of employees; now, there- <br />fore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF O~I0: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Positions are hereby created and the <br />compensation of annual salaried employees in the several de- <br />partments and divisions of the City of Lakewood, excluding the <br />Divisions of Police and Fire, as fixed by the director of said <br />department with the approval of the Mayor, within the following <br />schedule of compensation, shall be as follows, effective April 1, <br />1986, with the exception of the positions of Chief of Police, <br />Chief of Fire and Civil Service Commissioners, which shall be <br />effective January 1, 1986. <br /> <br />BAND A - $31,000 - $47,060 <br /> <br />Director of Law <br />Director of Finance <br />Director of Public Works <br />Chief of Police <br />Chief of Fire <br />City Engineer <br /> <br />BAND B - $26,200 - $41,000 <br /> <br />Director of Planning & Community Development <br />Director of Office on Aging <br />Personnel Administrator <br />Superintendent <br />Commissioner <br />Executive Assistant to the Mayor <br />Youth Coordinator <br /> <br />BAND C - $21,000 - $33~500 <br /> <br />Assistant Director <br />Assistant Engineer <br />Assistant Superintendent <br />Assistant Commissioner <br />Foreman A <br />Chief Surveyor <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />
