McBride, Salmon, Wendling, <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO: 28-86 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher,'Graham <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE amending paragraph (b) Section 149.20 of the <br />Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood to <br />provide allowance of costs of transportation to City employees commencing <br />April 1, 1986. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for <br />the usual daily operation of a municipal department in that in the interest <br />of public service, welfare and safety, it is desirable to provide an allow- <br />ance of costs of transportation to employees of the City; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That paragraph {b} Section149.20 of the Administrative Code <br />of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood now reading as follows: <br /> <br />Section 149.20 MILEAGE ALLOWANCE <br /> <br />(b) Commencing April 1, 1981, in addition to such salary or compensation <br />as may be provided by any other ordinance, there shall be paid to those <br />employees of the City, and volunteers of Lakewood Office on Aging, who are <br />required to use their personal automobile in carrying out their duties on <br />behalf of the City of Lakewood, other than those City employees set forth <br />in Section I of this ordinance, a mileage allowance of $0.15 per mile; <br />provided however, that such personal car use shall be approved by the <br />appropriate department head and provided further that, when applicable, <br />such allowance shall not exceed the cost of round trip coach air fare <br />for such trip. <br /> <br />Shall be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 149.20 MILEAGE ALLOWANCE <br /> <br />(b) Commencing April 1, 1986, in addition to such salary of compensation <br />as may be provided by any other ordinance, there shall be paid to those <br />employees of the City, and volunteers of Lakewood Office on Aging, who are <br />required to use their personal automobile in carrying out their duties on <br />behalf of the City of Lakewood, other than those City employees set forth <br />on Section i of this ordinance, a mileage allowance of $0.20 per mile; <br />provided however, that such personal car use shall be approved'by the <br />appropriate department head and provided further that, when applicable, <br />such allowance shall not exceed the cost of round trip coach air fare <br />for such trip. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted <br />in an open meeting of this Council, and that such deliberations of this Council <br />and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were in meet- <br />ings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements, including <br />Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br /> Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest <br />period allowed by law, and existing paragraph (b) Section 149.20 of the <br />Administrative Code of the Codified Ordinances adopted April 6, 1981, shall <br />be and the same is hereby repealed at~.~~-)/~ <br />Adopted: ~ /6 //~mm~ (~~~~.~~ <br /> Clerk ~' <br /> <br />Approved' ~~Jr~ <br /> <br /> <br />
