ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />80-86 <br /> <br /> BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br />Graham, McBride, Salmon, Wendling~ <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE approving the editing and inclusion of <br />certain ordinances enacted by Council from October 1, 1984 to May 1, <br />1986, and approving amendments to the Traffic and General Offenses Code <br />to conform to enactments of the Ohio General Assembly. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ various ordinances of a general and permanent nature have <br />been adopted by this Council during the period f~om October 1, 1984 to <br />May 1, 1986, which should be.included in the Codified Ordinances of the <br />City of Lakewood, Ohio, so as to conform to the classification and <br />numbering system of the Codified Ordinances, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, certain sections of the Traffic and General Offenses Codes <br />should be amended to conform to enactments of the Ohio General Assembly, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREkS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department and there exists <br />an imperative necessity for the earliest publication and distribution of <br />the 1986 distribution pages to the Codified Ordinances of the City of <br />Lakewood to the officials and residents of the City so as to facilitate <br />administration~ daily operation, and to avoid practical and legal <br />entanglements; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br />OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the editing, arrangement and numbering of those <br />ordinances and resolutions enacted by Council from October 1, 1984 to <br />May 1, 1986, as listed in the Comparative Section Table, are hereby <br />approved and adopted as printed in the 1986 Replacement Pages to the <br />Codified Ordinances so as to achieve uniformity of style and <br />classification. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the following sections of the Traffic and General <br />Offenses Codes, as amended, are hereby approved and adopted as amended <br />or enacted so as to conform to enactments of the Ohio General Assembly: <br /> <br /> TRAFFIC CODE <br /> <br />303.99(a) (13) and 311.01(e) Penalty and prohibition for intention- <br /> lly placing injurious material on roadway. <br />313.03 Regulates turns on red traffic control signals. <br />313.05 Pedestrian control signals may reflect symbols of a walk- <br /> ing person and upraised Palm. <br />331.35 Occupying a moving manufactured home prohibited. <br />331.38(a)Prima-facie violation of :failUre to stop for school bus. <br />335.09(a)Vehicle license required display including validation and <br /> County ID stickers. <br />337.32 Drivers and passengers required to wear seat belts; <br /> Penalty. <br />339.03 Vehicle maximum width, height and length. <br />351.23 Handicapped parking facilities requirements and prohibi- <br /> tions. <br />351.29 Parking on posted private property prohibited. <br /> <br />GENERAL OFFENSES CODE <br /> <br />501.01 Owner, property and services redefined to include cable <br /> TV theft and computer crimes. <br />501.09 Exempts hazardous waste law from municipal attempts cover- <br /> age since State law provides felony coverage. <br />505.23 Report of escape of exotic or dangerous animal. <br />513.01(s) (4) Drug abuse definition of "bulk amount" redefined. <br /> <br /> <br />
