ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />21 -87 <br /> <br />BY:Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the Mayor, for and on <br />behalf of the City of Lakewood to accept as a gift to the City of <br />Lakewood the sum of $18,740 from the Cotabish Charitable Trust. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Cotabish Charitable Trust has awarded a grant <br />in the amount of $18,740 to the Lakewood Department on Aging for <br />the purpose of expanding the escort service program by hiring a <br />part-time driver and expanding the home health aide services by <br />hiring a full-time home health aide for the direct benefit of the <br />senior citizens of Lakewood, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such grant is to be used specifically to hire <br />a part-time driver and a full-time home health aide, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency <br />measure providing for the Usual daily operation of a municipal <br />department; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby <br />authorized and directed to accept as a gift to the City of Lakewood <br />from the Cotabish Charitable Trust the sum of $18,740 which funds <br />are to be used specifically for the hiring of a part-time driver <br />and a full-time home health aide to increase the services of the <br />Department on Aging. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of <br />this Ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, <br />and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its <br />committees that resulted in such f~rmal actions were in meetings <br />open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements <br />including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof <br />and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, <br />it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest <br />allowed by law. ~'x ~..gd <br /> <br /> ~DENT ~ <br /> CLERK <br /> <br /> <br />
