ORDIN~C~ NO. 2-88 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gal lagher,~ <br /> ~ Gazzana, George, Graham, Wendlin§ <br /> <br /> AN EMI~G~ ORDIN~C~ authorizing '~e Mayor, for and on behalf of <br />the City of Lakewood to accept as a gift to tl%e City of Lakewood .the-s~n of <br />$18,740 frcm the Cotabish Charitable Trust. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Cotabish Charitable Trust has renewed a grant award in the <br />amount of $18,740 to the Lakewood Depa£b~,ent on Aging for the pu .rpose of <br />continuing the escort s~rvice program by a pa.rt-time driver and continuing the <br />hc~e health aide services by a full-time hone health aide for the direct <br />benefit of the senior citizens of Lakewood, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such grant is to be used specifically to pay the salary of <br />a part-time driver and a full-time hOne health aide, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal depazb~nt; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDA1/~ED BY THE COUNCIL OF TP~E CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed <br />to accept as a gift to the City of Lakewood frcm the Cotabish Charitable Trust <br />the sum of $18,740 which funds are to be used specifically to pay the salary of <br />a part-time driver and a full-time home health aide to increase the services of <br />the Depa~r~,,~ent on Aging. <br /> <br /> Section 2. Is is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the passage of this Ordinance were adopted in <br />an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council <br />and of any of its c~,,ittees that resulted in such fonnal actions were in meetings <br />open to the public, in ccmpliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives <br />the affinnative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period <br />allowed by law. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />PRESIDENT <br /> <br />Approved :~ ~, <br /> <br /> <br />
