Placed On First R~ading on June 20, 1988 Placed on Second Reading on July 5, 1988 ORDINANCE NO. 48-88 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Gazzana, George, Graham, Wendling AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE creating the Lakewood Child Care Services Advisory Board. WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for a body of thirteen (nine voting) concerned and informed citizens who will advise and assist in the administration and development of a central, singular forum for the dissemination of information relating to child care regulations and services for Lakewood residents, and evaluate child care providers for residents of Lakewood; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Lakewood Child Care Services Advisory Board be established. Section 2. That the composition of the Lakewood Child Care Services Advisory Board consist of not more than nine (9) membe£s who are interested in child care. The Board shall consis~ of: A. Three pa~ent representatives originally appointed Dy the committee and thereafter by the LCCSAB. B. One a%no£ney originally appointed by the committee an~ thereafter by the LCCSAB. C. On= d~signee appointed by Lake,~ood City Council. D. One representative appointed by the Mayor of the City of Lak2wooa. E. One designee appointed by the Lakewood Board of Education. F. One representasive appointed by the Superintendent of the Lakewood City Schools. G. One representative Hospital. appointed by the Lakewood Tne director of the LCCSAB shall serve ex officio as a memoer of the LCCSAB. Four members of the community representin~ nome care, daycare, preschool child care, an~ school a~e child care (SACC) providers shall serve ex officio as memb=rs of the LCCSAB. These members snail be originally appointed by the committee and thereafter by the LCCSAB. Section 3. I~ is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of tn~s ord~nc= we£e adopt=d in an opeg meeting of this Council, and that a~! sccn deli i~erattons of this Council and of any of its committees tha~ resu!ce~ in such formal action were in meetings open to the puD!lc in compliance with all legal requirements.
