Placed On First R~ading on June 20, 1988 <br />Placed on Second Reading on July 5, 1988 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 48-88 <br /> <br />BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Gazzana, George, <br /> Graham, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE creating the Lakewood Child Care <br />Services Advisory Board. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency <br />measure providing for a body of thirteen (nine voting) concerned <br />and informed citizens who will advise and assist in the <br />administration and development of a central, singular forum for <br />the dissemination of information relating to child care <br />regulations and services for Lakewood residents, and evaluate <br />child care providers for residents of Lakewood; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Lakewood Child Care Services <br />Advisory Board be established. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the composition of the Lakewood Child <br />Care Services Advisory Board consist of not more than nine (9) <br />membe£s who are interested in child care. The Board shall <br />consis~ of: <br /> <br />A. Three pa~ent representatives originally appointed <br />Dy the committee and thereafter by the LCCSAB. <br /> <br />B. One a%no£ney originally appointed by the committee <br />an~ thereafter by the LCCSAB. <br /> <br />C. On= d~signee appointed by Lake,~ood City Council. <br /> <br />D. One representative appointed by the Mayor of the <br />City of Lak2wooa. <br /> <br />E. One designee appointed by the Lakewood Board of <br />Education. <br /> <br />F. One representasive appointed by the Superintendent <br />of the Lakewood City Schools. <br /> <br />G. One representative <br />Hospital. <br /> <br />appointed <br /> <br />by the Lakewood <br /> <br />Tne director of the LCCSAB shall serve ex officio as a <br />memoer of the LCCSAB. Four members of the community <br />representin~ nome care, daycare, preschool child care, <br />an~ school a~e child care (SACC) providers shall serve <br />ex officio as memb=rs of the LCCSAB. These members <br />snail be originally appointed by the committee and <br />thereafter by the LCCSAB. <br /> <br /> Section 3. I~ is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of <br />tn~s ord~nc= we£e adopt=d in an opeg meeting of this Council, <br />and that a~! sccn deli i~erattons of this Council and of any of its <br />committees tha~ resu!ce~ in such formal action were in meetings <br />open to the puD!lc in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> <br />
