BY: <br /> Gazzana, George, Graham, <br /> ~/~nd, 1 ing <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the ma~or, for and on <br />behalf of the City of Lakewood to accept as a. gift to the City of <br />Lakewood the sum of $12,542.40 from Lakewooci Hospital. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Lakewood Hospital has awarded a grant in the amount <br />of $12,54.2.40 to the Lakewo~od Department on ADing for-. the purpose of <br />continuing tt~e position of Coordinator for' the Share and Care F'rogram of <br />the Office on Aging with Lakewood Hospital, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said funds are to be used specifically to retain a <br />part-time Program Coordinator for the continued comprehensive home <br />service delivery system, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Opdinance constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the public health, safety and welfare, and the usual, daily <br />operation of a municipal department~ now~ therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAIIsIED BY. THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD~ STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor' be and he is hereby authorized and <br />directed to accept as a gift to the City of Lakewood from Lakewood <br />Hospital the sum of $12,542.40 which funds are to be used specifically <br />by the City to retain a part-time F'rogram Coordinator for- the 1988-1989 <br />program year' to continue a comprehensive home service delivery system. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of this Council concernir~g and relating 'bo the passage of this <br />ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all <br />such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that <br />resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public~ in <br />complianc~ with ail legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this Ordir;ar~ce is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the pr~eamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shal], take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor~ otherwise~ it shall take <br />el.feet and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />F'RE"'S i DENT <br /> <br />C L E R K <br /> <br /> <br />
