Roth, Smith <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the Public Works <br />Director to advertise for bids and to enter into a contract with <br />the lowest and best bidder after advertisement according to law <br />for the installation of a new main drain line at Madison PoOl <br />in the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Council has determined that the main drain <br />line at Madison Pool is leaking and in urgent need of replacement, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Council has authorized the preparation of <br />construction drawings and specifications by the Lakewood Engineering <br />Division, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the aforementioned construction drawings and <br />specifications will be on file in the City Engineer's office, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department <br />and for the immediate preservation of the public safety and welfare; <br />now, therefore <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section l. That the Public Works Director be and he <br />is hereby authorized an directed to advertise for bids and to <br />enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder after <br />advertisement according to law for the installation of a new main <br />drain line at Madison Pool in the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Cost of such construction is <br />estimated at $65,000 - $70,000, which funds are to be made available <br />from the Capital Improvement Fund. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found an determined that all formal <br />actions of the Council concerning and relating to the passage <br />of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, <br />and that all such deliberations of the Council and of any of its <br />committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings <br />open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble <br />thereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds <br />of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be <br />period allowed by law. ~~fi~~// ~ <br /> <br /> <br />
