Cuy~ihoga . ___, -. ______ County, Ohio, in the ~atter of the hereinafter described improvement and to request cooperation by the Director of Transportation. ~[EREAS, the City has identified the need for and proposes the i~prove~ent of a portion of the public highway which ia described as follows: Repair and resurface Clifton Boulevard (US 6) from approximately thc West Corporation Line (Clifton-West Lake Bridge) to West Clifton Road (SE 237) in the City of Lakewood, a distance of 0.61 miles more or less. said portion of highway Within the municipal corporation liaits being hereinafter referred to as the improvement, and WHEREAS, the City further desires cooperation from the Director of Transportation in the planning, design and construction of said improvement. WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emerqency measure providing for the preservation of the health, welfare'and safety of Lakewood Citizens. NO~ THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City}of Ohio: Lakewood SECTION I (Cooperation) That said City hereby requests the cooperation of the Director of Transportation in the cost of the above described improvement as follows: The City does hereby agree to provide' construction contract plans at entirely its own cost and expense which shall be the City's total participation in the cost and expense of the improvement. In addition, the City agrees to assume and bear one hundred percent (100%) of the cost of any work included in the construction contract, at the request of the City, which is determined by the Director not to be part of or made necessary by the improvement. SECTION Il (Consent) That it is declared to be in the public interest that the consent of said City be and such consent is hereby given to the Director of Transportation to construct the above described improvement, in sccordunce with plans, specifications and estimates as approved by the Director. SECTION III (Authority to Sign) That the Mayor ....... of said City, is hereby empowered and directed on behalf of the City to enter into agreements with the Director of Transportation necessary to complete the planning and construction of this improvement. SECTION IV (Traffic Control Signals and Devices) That traffic control devices installed within the limits of the project will confor~ w/th Section 4511 of the Ohio Revised Code. Page 1 of 3
