ORDINANCE NO: 87-91 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gallagher, <br /> Gazzana, George, Graham, <br /> Roth, Smith <br /> <br /> An emergency ordinance enacted by the City of Lakewood, Cuyahoga County, <br />Ohio, hereinafter referred to as the MUNICIPALITY, in the matter of the <br />hereinafter described improvement and requeSts the cooperation of the County <br />of Cuyahoga by its Board of County Commissioners, hereinafter referred to as <br />the COUNTY, and the Department of Transportation, State of Ohio. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the MUNICIPALITY has recognized the need for and proposes the <br />improvement of a portion of public highway which is described as follows: <br /> <br />The rehabilitation of Lakewood Heights Boulevard (CR-297) from <br />Woodward Avenue to Alger Road and from Lincoln'Avenue to Berea Road and <br />for the rehabilitation of Lakewood Heights Boulevard Bridges No. 209 and <br />.10 over the Cleveland Rapid Transit. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this project within the corporation limits of the MUNICIPALITY <br /> ,art of a larger project which is the rehabilitation of Lakewood Heights <br /> Boulevard (CR-297) fro~,~ ~oodward-Avenue to Alger Road and from Lincoln Avenue <br /> to Berea Road and the rehabilitation of Lakewood Heights Boulevard Bridges No. <br /> 209 and 210 over the Cleveland Rapid Transit in the Cities of Lakewood and <br />Cleveland. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Ordinance' constitutes an emergency measure providing for the <br />preservation of the health, welfare and safety of Lakewood citizens, <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the COuncil of the City of Lakewood, <br />County of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio; <br /> <br />A. CONSENT <br /> <br />That it is declared to be in the public interest that the consent of <br />said MUNICIPALITY be and such consent is.hereby given to the COUNTY <br />and the Ohio Department of Transportation to construct the above <br />described improvement in accordance with plans, specifications and <br />estimates approved by the COUNTY. <br /> <br />B. COOPERATION <br /> <br />1. That the MUNICIPALITY will cooperate with the COUNTY and the Ohio <br /> Department of Transportation in ~the above described <br /> <br />That the.COUNTY will arrange for the preparation of construction plans <br />and specifications, including necessary engineering reports for <br />improvement, under current Cuyahoga County Engineer standards for <br />construction of County roads and bridges. <br /> <br />3.
