DEFERRED on 12/21/92 <br /> and DEFERRED on 3/ <br />ORDINANCE NO. 95-92 BY: Boscia, Gallagher, George,l~Bons, <br /> Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE repealing Ordinance No. 8-82 and <br /> abolishing the HoUsing Rehabilitation Fund and transferring the <br /> entire unencumbered balance of said Fund to the General Fund. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Ordinance No.. 8-82 adopted February 1, 1982, <br />created a Special Assessment Fund'known as the~Housing Rehabilitation <br />Fund and transferred money from 'the General Fund to said Special <br />Assessment Fund and appropriated same, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, substantial funds have accumulated in the Housing <br />Rehabilitation Fund, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Council and the Administration desire to maintain <br />the current high level of municipal services without imposing addi- <br />tional taxes, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, increasing costs beyond the control of the City <br />require the use of the funds accumulated in the Housing Rehabilita- <br />tion Fund for General Fund purposes; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety <br />and welfare, and for the usual daily operation of a municipal depart- <br />ment for the reason that to accomplish the objectives of this ordi- <br />nance, the funds need to be transferred before the end of the current <br />fiscal year; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Ordinance No. 8-82 is hereby repealed. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Special Fund known as the Housing <br />Rehabilitation Fund is hereby abolished and the unencumbered balance <br />in said Special Assessment Fund is ordered transferred to the General <br />Fund of the City. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that alI formal <br /> actions of this CoUncil conCerning and relating to the passage of <br /> this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and <br /> that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its commit- <br /> tees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the <br /> Public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 4.
