PLACED ON FIRST RBADING ~ REFERRED TO FINANCE CMTE ON 12/7/92. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 99-92 BY: Boscia, Gallagher, <br /> George, Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE removing the position of Pro- <br />curement Officer as an annual salaried employees from the De- <br />partment of Public Works to the Department of Finance of the City <br />of Lakewood, fixing the salary of said employee and repealing <br />Ordinance 13-92. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency meas- <br />ure providing for the immediate .preservation of the public <br />health, safety and welfare, and for' the usual daily operation of <br />a municipal department for the reason that central purchasing for <br />the City should be removed from the Department of Public Works <br />so that the Procurement Officer answers to the chief financial <br />officer instead of the contracting officer as recommended by the <br />staff of the Auditor of State; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT'ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the position of Procurement Officer as <br />an annual salaried employee in the Department of Finance of the <br />City of Lakewood is hereby created and the annual compensation of <br />such employee shall be as follows, effective at the time of hire: <br /> <br />BAND C - $24,595 ~ $42.550 <br /> <br />Procurement Officer <br /> <br /> Section 2. That Ordinance No. 13-92 adopted February <br />18, 1992, is and the same is hereby repealed. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal <br />actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this <br />ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that <br />all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees <br />that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the <br />public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force im~ediately <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take <br />effect and be in force after the earlies~ <br /> <br />Adopted: ~ ~</ //~ <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />CLERK <br /> <br /> <br />
