ORDINANCE NO. 42-96 BY: Boscia, Corrigan, <br /> Flanney, George, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to adjust appropriations for expenditures in certain <br />funds of the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio, for the fiscal year ending December 31, 1996. <br /> <br /> WHEKEAS, an emergency exists to provide for the immediate preservation of the public <br />property, health and safety and to provide for the usual daily operation of municipal departments; <br />and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, projected revenues from the user charges are sufficient to support the <br />appropriations below; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed to increase <br />appropriations in the following funds by the amounts stated below: <br /> <br />Emergency Shelter Grant Fund <br /> <br />$ 74,268 <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Director of Finance be and he is hereby authorized to draw checks upon <br />the City depositories for the amounts appropriated in this ordinance whenever clalrn.~ are <br />presented properly, approved by the head of the department for which the indebtedness is <br />incurred, providing the President of Council shall approve all claims for City Council. <br /> <br />Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and <br />relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and <br />that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such <br />formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />Section 4. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons <br />stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the af-firmafive vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption <br />and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period <br />allowed by law. <br /> <br /> President of Council <br /> <br />Approved://~ff/~ ~,~ /q~ ~ <br /> <br />Clerk of Council <br /> <br /> <br />
