PLEASE SIIBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. <br />1-97 PLACED ON 1st Reading & Referred <br />to Finance Committee on 2/18/97; <br />PLACED ON 2nd Reading on 3/3/97. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. i-97 BY: Boscia, Corrigan, Flannery, <br /> George, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE creating positions and fixing salaries of the <br />annual salaried employees and hourly paid employees not covered by a collective <br />bargaining agreement in the several departments and divisions of the City of ~. <br />Lakewood, excluding the Divisions of Police and Fire, effective April 1, 1997, and <br />creating the positions and fixing the annual salary of the Chief of Police, the Chief <br />of Fire and Civil Service Commissioners, effective January 1, 1997. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for <br />the usual daily operation of a municipal department in that in the interest of public <br />service, welfare and safety, it is necessary to fix the compensation of employees; <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1.
