PLACED OY 1st Reading ~ Referred <br />TO ENVIRONMENTAL CMTE on 2/18/97. <br />PLACED ON 2nd Reading on 3/3/97. <br /> <br />ORDINA~NCENO. 2-97 BY: Boscia, Corrigan, Flannery, <br /> George, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> ,MN' EtMERGENCY ORDINPuNCE mending Chapter 145 of the Administrative <br />Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance originally created the "Lakewood Clean Community <br />Board" for the purpose of assisting Council and the Mayor in improving the physical <br />quality of community life; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Board will continue serving the City under the new title "Keep <br />Lakewood Beautiful Board," which will better identify Lakewood as part of the National <br />Keep America Beautiful Organization; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance will further clarify membership and procedure for the <br />"Keep Lakewood Beautiful Board" so as to contribute to a clean environment which will <br />enhance the emotional, physical and economic well-being of the citizens of Lakewood; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance is an emergency measure which is necessary for the <br />immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health, safer?, and welfare in the <br />City; now therefore <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The title of Chapter 145 of the Administrative Code of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, now reading as follows: <br /> <br /> CHAPTER 145 <br />Lakewood Clean Community Board <br /> <br />shall be and the same is hereby amended to: <br /> <br /> CHAPTER 145 <br />Keep Lakewood Beautiful Board <br /> <br /> Section 2. That Section 145.01 of the Administrative Code of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, now reading as follows: <br /> <br /> 145.01 CREATION <br /> The Lakewood Clean Community Board is hereby created for the purpose of <br />assisting Council and the Mayor in establishing a City-wide policy, tbr decr ~o~4__'ng the <br />amount of loose refuse in the City. <br /> <br />shall be and the same is hereby amended to read: <br /> <br /> 145.01 CREATION <br /> The Keep Lakewood Beautiful Board is hereby created tbr the purpose of assisting <br />Council and the Mayor in establishing a City-wide policy for decreasing the amount of <br />loose refuse in the City. <br /> <br /> <br />
