ORDINANCE NO.: <br /> <br />42-97 BY: Corrigan, Flannery, George, <br /> Seel£e, Smith <br /> <br /> An emergency ordinance authorizing and directing the Director of Public Works, the <br />Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the Procurement Officer to enter into a contract <br />to obtain rental services to provide front end loaders in connection with the City's leaf collection <br />program. <br /> <br /> Whereas, an emergency exists to provide for the immediate preservation of public <br />property, health and safety, and to provide for the annual leaf collection program, and <br /> <br /> Whereas, the City received proposals from five vendors to pro¥ide for rental services for <br />front end loaders with Ohio Machinery Company providing the lowest and best quote for the <br />equipment specified, and <br /> <br /> Whereas, the approval of Council is required for the purchase/lease of supplies, services <br />and equipment in excess of $7,500.00, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works, the Director of Law, the Director of <br />Finance, and/or the Procurement Officer are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Ohio <br />Machinery Company in an amount not to exceed $14,000.00. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concering <br />and relating to the passage of this Ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, <br />and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such <br />formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared an emergency measure for the reasons <br />stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption by <br />the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />Approved:~~'~.) <br /> <br />~ ~President of Council <br /> <br /> I- <br /> <br /> <br />
