PLACED ON 1ST READING ~ REFERRED TO <br />FINANCE COMMITTEE 12/1/97. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 64-97 BY: Boscia, Corrigan, <br /> Flannery, George, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to adjust appropriations for expenditures in certain <br />funds of the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio, for the fiscal year ending December 3 l, 1997. <br /> WHEREAS, an emergency exists to provide for the immediate preservation of the public <br />property, health and safety and to provide for the usual daily operation of municipal departments; <br />and, <br /> WHEREAS? projected revenues are sufficient to support the appropriations below; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed to increase <br />appropriations in the following funds by an amount up to that which is stated below: <br /> <br />Bureau of Justice Grant Fund <br />Office on Aging IIIC Grant Fund <br />Parking Facilities Fund <br />Winterhurst Ice Rink Fund <br /> <br />$2,000 <br />$5,000 <br />$25,000 <br />$20,000 <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Director of Finance be and is hereby authorized to draw checks upon the <br />City depositories for the amounts appropriated in this ordinance whenever claims are presented <br />properly, approved by the head of the department for which the indebtedness is incurred, <br />providing the President of Council shall approve all claims for City Council. <br />Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and <br />relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and <br />that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such <br />formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br />Section 4. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons <br />stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption <br />and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period <br />allowed by law. <br /> <br /> President of Council <br /> <br />Approved: ~ ~r~ ~/~ ~ /f ~ '~ <br /> <br />Clerk of Council <br /> <br /> <br />
