ORDII~'~[CENO: 34-98 BY: Corrigan, ~annery, George, <br /> Roth, Seelie, Skindell, Smith <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend Section 310.10(a)(3) of the Traffic <br />Code of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood by enacting a restriction to a <br />right mm against a steady red signal during the hours ofg:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., Monday <br />through Friday, at the Franklin Boulevard and Cohassett Avenue intersection. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, concern exists for the safety of children crossing Franklin Boulevard <br />and Cohassett Avenue intersection; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it has been determined that prohibiting a right mm against a steady <br />red signal at all times at this intersection would contribute to the safety of children by <br />removing a potential hazard; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the <br />immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare; now, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1: That Sect/on 313.10(a)(3) of the Traffic Code of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of Lakewood now reading as follows: <br /> <br />313.10 PROI-rIRITED TURNS ONRED SIGNALS. <br /> <br /> (a) Pursuant to the provisions of Section 313.03(c)(5), it is hereby determined <br />that the following intersections are used by a substantial number of school children and <br />are a h~-,rd to such school children and, therefore, a right turn against a steady red signal <br />is hereby prohibited between the hours of 8:00a. ra. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through <br />Friday at the following intersections, upon the posting and installation of the proper signs <br />giving notice thereof. <br /> <br />(3) Franklin Boulevard <br /> A. Bunts Road <br /> B. Lakewood High School - North <br /> Parking Lot Drive <br /> C. Robinwood Avenue <br /> D. Warren Road <br /> E. Lewis Drive <br /> <br />all four directions <br /> <br />south and west bound <br />ail four directions <br />west bound only <br />ali four directions <br /> <br />shall be and is hereby amended as follows: <br /> <br />313.
