PLEASE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO.35-98 PLACED ON IsT Reading and Referred TO HOUSING COMM]TTEE ON 7/6/98 PLACED ON 2ND RF. ADING ON 7/20/98. ORDINANCE NO. 35-98 BY: AN ORDINANCE to amend Chapter 1306 of Codified Ordinance of the City of Lakewood, the Lakewood Property Maintenance and Safety Code of the Building Code. WHEREAS, Chapter 1306 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood was passed by Council on April 20, 1998; and WHEREAS, Council at that time expressed an interest in continuing its review of Section 1306.29 (el regarding step rails and decided to maintain the language from Section 1306.29 (el without change, and referred the issue to the Housing Committee; and WHEREAS, Council at this time desires to amend the ordinance as is set forth herein; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO; Section I. Paragraph (el of Section 1306.29 (el, now reading as follows: (el Every inside and outside stair and every porch and every appurtenance thereto shall be so constructed as to be safe to use and capable of supporting the load that normal use may cause to be placed thereon and shall be maintained in sound condition and good repair.
