ORDINANCE NO. SZ-98 BY: <br /> <br />Corrigan, Flannery, George, <br />Roth, Seelie, Skindell, Smith <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing and directing the Director of <br />Public Works, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, end/or the <br />Procurement Officer to enter into a contract to obtain rental services to <br />provide Front-end Loaders in connection with the City of Lake~ocd's Leaf <br />Collection Program. <br /> <br /> MiEREAS, an emergency exists to provide for the immediate <br />preservation of public property, health and safety, and to provide for the <br />annual Leaf Collection Program, and <br /> <br /> ~liEREAS, the City contacted seven vendors to provide proposals for <br />Rental Services for Front-end Loaders ~ith Southeastern Equipment Company <br />providing the lowest and best quote for the equip=eot specified, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the approval of Council' is required for the <br />purchase/lease of supplies, services and equipment in excess of $7,500.00, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEMX)D, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works, the Director of <br />Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the Procurement Officer are hereby <br />authorized to enter into a contract with Southustern Equipment Company in an <br />amount not to exceed $12,000.00. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of <br />this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this Ordinance were <br />adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of <br />this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action <br />were in meetings open to the public in compliance with al] legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared an emergency measure <br />for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately <br />othe~ise, it shall take effect <br />allo~ed by law. <br /> <br /> upon its adoption by the Mayor; <br />and be in force after the earliest period <br /> <br /> President of Council <br /> <br />Clerk of Council <br /> <br />M;lyor <br /> <br /> <br />
