PLACED ON 1ST READING ~ REFERRED TO <br />FINANCE COMMITTEE ON 12/7/98. <br /> <br />ORDINANCENO. 60-98 BY: Corrigan, Flannery, <br /> George, Roth, Seelie, Skindell, Smil <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to adjust appropriations for expenditures in certain <br />funds of the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio, for the fiscal year ending December 31, 1998. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an emergency exists to provide for the immediate preservation of the public <br />property, health and safety and to provide for the usual daily operation of municipal departments; <br />and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there are funds available sufficient to support the appropriations below; <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Finance is hereby authoriZed and directed to increase <br />appropriations in the following fund by the mount stated below: <br /> <br />Law. Enforcement Trust Fund <br />Office on Aging IIIB <br />Office on Aging IIIC <br /> <br />$ 20,000 <br /> $5,000 <br /> $15,000 <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Director of Finance be and she is hereby authorized to draw checks upon <br />the City depositories for the amounts appropriated in this ordinance whenever claims are <br />presented properly, approved by the head of the department for which the indebtedness is <br />incurred, providing the President of Council shall approve all claims for City Council. <br /> <br />Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and <br />relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and <br />that all such deh'berations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such <br />formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />Section 4. ~ this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons <br />stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption <br />and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period <br />allowed by law. <br /> <br />Adopted: ~~g~-~ ~/; / q ~'a~ ~ ~A_ <br /> President of Council <br /> <br /> <br />
