PLACED ON 2nd READING 4/19/9 9~: ORDINANCE NO. 18 - 9 9 Corrigan, FitzGerald, George,Roth BY: Seelie, Skindell, Smith AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE creating positions and fixing salaries of the annual salaried employees and hourly paid employees not covered by a collective bargaining agreement in the several departments and divisions of the City of Lakewood, excluding the Divisions of Pohce and Fire, effective April 1, 1999, and creating the positions and fixing the annual salary of the Chief of Police, the Chief of Fire and Civil Service Commissioners, effective January 1, 1999. WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department in that in the interest of public service, welfare and safety, it is necessary to fix the compensation of employees; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. Positions are hereby created and the compensation of annual salaried employees and hourly paid employees not covered by a collective bargaining agreement in the several departments and divisions of the City of Lakewood, excluding the Divisions of Police and Fire, as fixed by the director of said department with the approval of the Mayor, within the following schedule of compensation, shall be as follows effective April 1, 1999, with the exception of the positions Chief of Pohce, Chief of Fire and Civil Service Commissioners, which sho]l be effective January 1, 1999.
