Amended on the <br /> 11/6/00. <br /> <br />flo( <br /> <br />ORDINANCENO. 47-00 BY: Corrigan, FitzGerald, George, <br /> Seelie, Skindell, Smith. <br /> Director of Law <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing the~R~i$ to enter into an <br />agreement for the annual updating of the Lakewood Codified Ordinances for a term of <br />five (5) years. <br /> <br /> WHEREFORE, recently the City completed a recodification of the Lakewood <br />Codified Ordinances; and <br /> <br /> WHEREFORE, an updating agreement is an essential part of the recodification <br />I~rocess to ensure that the Ordinances are updated on a regular basis; and <br /> <br /> WHEREFORE, an annual updating agreement will prevent the City from incurring <br />greater expenses for future recodifications by providing for regularly scheduled updates <br />of the Ordinances. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency as it provides for the usual <br />daily 6peration of a municipal department. Now, therefore, <br /> <br />Roth <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> D~irector of L~ <br /> Section 1. That tl~e ~lx~Rortne City of Lakewood is hereby authorized to <br />enter into an annual updating agreement with the Walter H. Drane Company for a term <br />of five (5) years in the amount of nine-hundred dollars ($900) per update plus twenty- <br />two dollars ($22.00) per printed page which is changed, ten dollars ($10.00) per pdnted <br />page which is unchanged (the reverse side of any changed page), five dollars and <br />seventy-five cents ($5.75) per printed page for versions provided to police officers, and <br />one dollar ($1.00) per page for versions provided to public work's employees. In <br />addition, the City is responsible for paying for any incurred shipping charges. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and <br />be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall <br />take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />conceming and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open. <br />meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its <br />committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />If RESIDENT <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br /> <br />
