Please Substitute for Ordinance No. 48-0: <br />Placed on 1st Reading and Referred to <br />Committee of the Whole on 10/1/01, <br />Placed on 2nd Reading 10/15/01. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 48-0~ <br /> <br />BY: Corrigan, FitzGerald, George, Roth, <br /> Seelie, Skindell, Smith. <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE creating positions and rates of pay fOr full-time and certain <br />part-time annual salaried employees and hourly rate employees not covered by a collective bargaining <br />agreement in the several departments, divisions and offices of the City of Lakewood, effective April 1, <br />2001, and for the Chief of Fire, Chief of Police and Civil Service Commissioners, effective January 1, <br />2001. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the usual dally <br />operation of a municipal department in that in the interest of public service, welfare and safety, it is <br />necessary to adjust the compensation of employees; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Classifications, rates of pay, pay grades, levels and certain other supplemental <br />compensation for full-time and pm-time, annual salaried and hourly rate employees not covered by a <br />collective bargaining agreement are hereby authorized in the several departments, divisions and offices <br />of the City of Lakewood as fixed in accordance with the Administrative Employee Salary <br />Administration Program Policy and Procedures, and with the approval of the Department Director, <br />Director of Finance, Human Resources Administrator and Mayor. Effective April 1, 2001, all <br />employees shall receive a general increase to their existing rate of pay of 4.5%, provided that such <br />resultant increase does not increase any employee's rate of pay to an amount less than the minimum <br />rate for the pay grade as follows: <br /> <br />Section 2.
