pLACED ON 1ST READING & REFERRED TO THE RULES & <br />ORDINANCES CMTE 2/19/02: PLA_CSD ON 2~° READiNG 3/4/02. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 20-02 BY: Corrigan, Dunn, FitzGerald, <br /> George, Roth, Seelie, Skindell. <br />AN ORDINANCE to amend section 517.06(b)(4), Methods of ConducUng a Bingo <br />Game; Prohibitions, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood for the purpose <br />of allowing a volunteer fire~ghter's organization or volunteer rescue service organization <br />to conduct more than two bingo sessions }n a seven day period, but not more than five <br />in one year, where the organization notifies the Ohio Attorney General when the <br />sessions will be conducted and to remain consistent with the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance is necessary for the public health, welfare and safety. <br />Now therefore, <br /> <br />BE rf ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1. That section 517.06(b)(4), Methods of Conducting a Bingo Game; <br />Prohibitions, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood currently reading as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> (b) A charitable organization that conducts a bi'ngo game shall not do any of the <br />following: <br /> <br /> '(J(~nduct more than two bingo sessions in any seven-day period; <br /> <br />shall be and is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> (b) A charitable organization that conducts a bingo game shall not do any of the <br />following: <br /> <br /> (4) Conduct more than two bingo sessions in any seven-day period. <br /> Except that a volunteer firefighter's organization or a volunteer rescue <br /> service organization that conducts not more than five bingo sessions in a <br /> calendar year may conduct more than two bingo sessions in a seven-day <br /> period after notifying the Ohio Attorney General when it will conduct the <br /> sessions; <br /> <br />(5)... <br /> <br /> Section' 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />~:oncerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open <br />meeUng of this Council, and that all such deliberaUon of the Council and of any of its <br /> <br /> <br />
