Ordinance No: lo-o3 <br /> <br />BY: Corrigan~ Dever, Dunns <br /> FitzGerald, George, ~oth, <br />Seelte. <br /> <br /> AN EHERGENCY ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 156-02, adopted <br />December 16, 2002 for the purpose of changing and Increasing contracting authority for <br />the Nayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of Public Works, the Director of Law, <br />the Director of Rnance, and/or the Procurement Officer to enter into contracts for <br />professional services, and to advertise for bids and enter into contracts for the purchase <br />of repair maintenance and operating supplies, services and equipment as authorized by <br />the 2003 Appropriation Ordinance and the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood <br />wlth the lowest and best bidder or bidders or as otherwise provided by law. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Coundl by a vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto <br />determines that this ordinance is an emergency measure, and that this ordinance shall <br />take effect at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, SECTONS 10 and <br />13 of the SECOND AMENDED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, and that it is <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public property, health and safety, and <br />to provide for the usual daily operation of munidpal departments in that the Increased <br />contracting authority is necessary to partidpate in joint purchasing with the Westshore <br />Council of Governments. Now Therefore, <br /> <br />BE 1T ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1.
