ORDINANCE NO: 61-03 <br /> BY' Corrigan, Dever, Dunn, FitzGerald, <br /> George, Roth, Seelie. <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to establish additional appropriations for current <br /> expenses and other expenditures of the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio, for the fiscal <br /> year ending December 31, 2003 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto <br />determines that this ordinance is an emergency measure, and that this ordinance shall <br />take effect at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, SECTONS 10 and <br />~13 of the SECOND AMENDED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, and that it <br />ts necessary for the immediate preservation of the public property, health and safety, <br />and to Provide for the usual daily operation of municipal departments in that this <br />Ordinance is necessary so the project can begin October I, 2003. Now Therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, S~-ATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Director or Finance is hereby authorized and directed to <br />increase appropriations in the following funds by the amount stated below: <br /> <br /> Family Child Day Care Home Project Fund $176,000 <br /> <br /> Section 2 That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to draw <br /> checks upon the City depositories for the amounts appropriated in this ordinance <br /> whenever claims are presented, Prepedy approved by the head of the <br /> department for which the indebtedness is incurred, providing the President of <br /> Council or his/her designees shall approve all claims of the City Council <br /> <br /> Section 3 It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted <br />in an open meeting of this Council and of any of its committees, that resulted in <br />such formal actions, were in meetings open to the public in compliance with <br />legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 4 That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, <br />health, safety and welfare Jn the City and for the usua daily operation of the City for the <br />reasons set forth and defined in the preamble to this' Ordinance, and provided it <br />receives the affirmative VOte of at least five (5) of its members elected to Council, this <br />ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption by the <br />Council and approval by the Mayor othenNise, it Shall take effect and be in force after <br />the eadiest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />Adopted.__~ ,~ 2, <br /> / <br /> <br />PreSident of COuncil <br /> <br /> <br />
