ORDINANCE NO~ 62-03 <br /> <br />George~ Roth, Seelie. <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE authorizing and directing the Mayor or her <br />designee to enter into contracts for the reimbursement of the cost of meals to various <br />day care providers who provide day care to families who meet program requirements <br />for the Family Child Day Care Home Project in an amount not to exceed $176,000, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected <br />thereto determines that this ordinance is an emergency measure, and that this <br />ordinance shall take effect at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTiCLE III, <br />SECTON$10 and 13 of the SECOND AMENDED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />and that it is necessary to provide for the usual daily operation of municipal <br />departments in that the contract for the current project year begins October 1, 2003. <br />Now therefore, <br /> <br />BE 1T ORDAINED BY THE CI-rY OF LAKEWOOD; STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor or her designee is hereby authorized to enter <br />into contracts for the reimbursement of the cost of meals to various day care providers <br />who provide day care to families who meet program requirements for the Family Child <br />Day Care Home Project in an amount not to exceed $176,000. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open <br />meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its <br />committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the usual daily operation of the City for the reasons set forth and defined <br />in the preamble to this ordinance, and provided it receives the affirmative vote of at <br />least five (5) of its members elected to Council, this ordinance shall take effect and be <br />in force immediately upon its adoption by the Council and approval by the Mayor <br />otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />Approved: .~~~/ ~ ~ <br /> <br />President of Council <br /> <br /> co fnc, <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
