AN ORDINANCE to establish temporary appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures of the City of LakewoOd, State of Ohio, for three months, January 1, 2005 to March 31, 2005 as provided by Ohio Revised Code Section 5705.38. WHEREAS, this Council desires to provide for the operations of the City of Lakewood during the first quarter of 2005 until the 2005 operating budget can be approved, by establishing temporary appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for three months, January 1, 2005 to March 31, 2005, as provided by Ohio Revised Code Section 5705.38, and WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five members elected thereto determines that this ordinance is an emergency measure, and that this ordinance shall take effect at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, SECTIONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND AMENDED CHARTER OF THE cm OF LAKEWOOD, and that it is necessary to provide for the usual daily operation of the City in that the City must record all financial transactions within the appropriate fiscal period. Now therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE cm OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO Section 1.
