<br />FitzGerald <br /> <br />..-/ <br /> <br />Demro,Dever, Dunn, <br />Madigan, See lie <br /> <br />BY: <br /> <br />~ í' -0 ~ 4 <br /> <br />/.. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />-~' <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE creating a new section under Chapter 111 of the <br />Lakewood Codified Ordinances, for the purpose of permitting the Director of Finance to <br />enter into contracts for sale or lease of space and/or rights for advertising or <br />sponsorship, in, on and around certain properties owned by the City, said advertising or <br />sponsorship to be sold at fair market rates. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure as it would <br />permit an immediate influx of revenue for the City in both the general fund and the <br />Winterhurst Ice Rink Enterprise Fund. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Inclusion of this ordinance in Chapter 111 of Lakewood <br />Codified Ordinances would establish a procedure for the sale of advertising, as it would <br />be impractical to present each individual contract for approval, and could discourage <br />sales of advertising if the contracting procedure extends over a lengthy period of time. <br />Now Therefore, <br /> <br />LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br />Section 1. That the Director of Finance be and hereby is authorized to enter into <br />contracts for sale or lease of space and/or rights for advertising or sponsorship, in, on <br />and around certain properties owned by the City, said advertising or sponsorship to be <br />sold at fair market rates. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF <br /> <br />Section 2 That any revenues derived from the sale of advertising or <br />sponsorship at Winterhurst Ice Rink be kept and maintained in the Winterhurst Ice Rink <br />Enterprise Fund. <br /> <br />Section 3. That any revenues derived from the sale of advertising or sponsorship <br />at other buildings or locations in the City be credited to the General Fund. <br /> <br />market <br /> <br />Section 4. That all advertising or sponsorship be sold by the City at fair <br /> <br />rates <br /> <br />Section 5. That Council hereby grants its approval for contracts for the sale of <br />advertising not in excess of seven thousand, five hundred dollars ($7,500.00) and/or for <br />a term not to exceed three (3) years. <br /> <br />Section 6. That any advertising that is a "sign" as defined in Lakewood Codified <br />Ordinance 1329.03 shall be subject to review by the Board of Building Standards and <br />Building Appeals/Architectural Board of review/Sign Review. <br /> <br />Section 7. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Counci <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open <br />meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberation of the Council and' of any of its <br />committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all legal requirements. <br />
