Seelie. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE establishing rates for the Ohio Department of Transportation <br />Driver Training Course and Driver Training Refresher Course provided by the Lakewood <br />Department of Human Services/Division of Aging, effective October 1, 2004. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Human Services/Division of Aging transportation <br />drivers completed a train the trainer course: Transporting Older and Disabled <br />Passengers conducted by the Ohio Department of Transportation, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Division of Aging drivers can provide this training to employees <br />from other organizations providing similar services on a fee per course basis, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto <br />determines that this resolution is an emergency measure, and that this resolution shall <br />take effect at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, SECTONS 10 and 13 <br />of the SECOND AMENDED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, and that it is <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public property, health and safety, and <br />to provide for the usual daily operation of municipal departments in that the trainings <br />wiil be held in October 2004. Now Therefore, <br /> <br />Now therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br />Section 1. That the fee for participation in the Driver. Training and Driver Training <br />Refresher courses provided by the Department of Human Services/Division of Aging be <br />and the same are hereby established effective October 1, 2004 as follows: <br /> <br />Lakewood Department of Human Services/Division of Aging <br />Transporting Older and Disabled Passengers Training: <br /> <br />Fuil day Driver Training Course <br /> <br />$40.00 <br />$20.00 <br /> <br />Half day Driver Training Refresher Course <br /> <br />Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open <br />meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its <br />committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />Section 3. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the reasons set forth and defined in the preamble to this <br />Ordinance, and provided it receives the affirmative Vote of at least five (5) of its <br />members elected to Council, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor otherwise, it <br />
