<br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE amending Orilinance No. 99-04, adopted December
<br />20, 2004 for the pntpose of changing and decreasing contracting authority for the Mayor
<br />(Director ofpublic Safety), the Director of Public Works, the Director of Låw, the Director of
<br />Finance, and/or the Procurement Officer to enter into contracts for professional services, and to
<br />advertise forbids and enter into contracts for the purchase of repair maintenance and operating
<br />supplies, services and equipment as authorized by the 2005 Appropriation Ordinance and the
<br />Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood with the lowest and best bidder or bidders or as
<br />otherwise provided hy law.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto determines that
<br />this ordinance is an emergency measure, and that tlùs ordinance shall take effect at the earliest
<br />date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, SECTIONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND AMMENDED
<br />CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, and that it is necessary to provide for the usual
<br />daily operation of municipal departmeuts in that delay could impair the City's ability to provide
<br />necessary services in a timely manner, now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO
<br />
<br />Section 1. That Orilinance No. 99-04, adopted December 20, 2004, currently reading as
<br />follows:

<br />Section I.That the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of Public
<br />Works, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the Procurement
<br />Officer be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract or
<br />contracts for supplies, services and equipment with the lowest and best bidder or
<br />bidders or as otherwise provided by law, as follows:
