<br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 99-04C, adopted September
<br /> 6, 2005 for the purpose of changing and increasing contracfing authority for the Mayor (Director I.
<br /> of Public Safery), the Director of Public Works, the Director of Law; the Director of Finance,
<br /> and/or the Procurement Officer to enter into contracts for professional services; and to advertise
<br /> for bids aad enter into wntracts for the purchase of repair maintenance and operating supplies,
<br /> services and equipment as authorized by the 2005 Appropriation Ordinance and the
<br />
<br /> Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood with the lowest and best bidder or bidders or as
<br /> otherwise provided bylaw. i
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto determines that ~
<br /> this ordinance is an emergency measure, and that this ordinance shall take effect at the earliest
<br /> date possible asset forth in ARTICLE III, SECTIONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND AMMENDED
<br /> CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, and that it is necessary to provide for the usual
<br /> daily operation of municipal departments in that delay could impair the City's ability to provide
<br />
<br /> necessary services in a timely manner, now, therefore,
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO
<br /> Section 1. That Ordinance No. 99-04C, adopted September 6; 2005, currently reading as
<br />
<br /> follows:

<br /> Officer be and aze hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract or
