<br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE creating positions and rates of pay for thll4imo and ceftin
<br />part-time annual' salaried ~xnployecs and hourly rate employees not covered by a collective bargaining
<br />agreement in tho several depmtmants, divisions and offices of the City of Lakewood, including tho
<br />Chief of Fire, ChiefofPotico and Civil Service Commissioners, effective January 1, 2005.

<br /> VfHEREAS, Ordinance No. 89-05A, passed by this Council on October 17, 2005, removed
<br />certaln.f~i-time positions now covered by collective bargaining agreements from the salary ordinance,
<br />and inad?ertanfly affected certain part-time positions which had the same job titles, and it is necessary
<br />to restore those part-time positions within the salary ord/nance,
<br />
<br /> WHEREXS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the usual daily
<br />operation of a municipal department in that in the interest of public service, welfare and safety, it is
<br />necessary to adjust the compensation ofemployecs; now, therefore,
<br />
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED By THE CITY OF LAICEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO:
<br />
<br /> Section i. Classifications, rates of pay, pay grades, levels and certain other supplemental
<br />compensation for non-probationary full-time and certain part-time, annual salaried and hourly rate
<br />employees not covered by a collective bargaining agreement are hereby authorized in the several
<br />departments, divisions and offices of the City of Lakewood, as modified herein, and with the approval
<br />of the Department Director, Dh'ector of Financo~ Human Resources Director and Mayor. Effective
<br />with the passage of this ordinance, all current full-time, certain part-time, annual salaried a~d hourly
<br />rate employees shall receive a general increase to their existing pay of three percent (3%), said increase
<br />to be retroactive to January 1, 2005. This general increase shall take effect only if the result does not
<br />increase any employee's rate of pay to an amount greater than the maximum rate for the pay grade to
<br />which the their classification is assigned as follows:
