<br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE creating positions and rates of pay for mil-time and certain
<br />part-time annual salaried employees and hourly rate employees not covered by a collective bargaining
<br />agreement in the several departments, divisions and offices of the City of Lakewood, inchiding the
<br />Chief of Fire, Chief of Police and Civil Service Commissioners, effective January 1, 2005
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, Ordinance No 89~05B, passed by tiffs Council on November 21, 2005, did not
<br />accurately i~eflect ail the positions now covered by collective bargaining agreements, and certain part-
<br />time positions, and must be emended,
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, this Ordinance constitutes an emergency measure providing for the usual daily
<br />operation of a munlcipai department in that in the interest of public service, welfare and safety, it is
<br />necessary to adjust the compensation of employees; now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE iT ORDAINED BY THI~ CITY OF LAICEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO'
<br />
<br /> Section 1 Classifications, rates of pay, pay grades, levels and certain other supplemental
<br />compensation for non-probationary full-time and certain part-time, muruai salaried and hourly rate
<br />employees not covered by a collective bargaining agreement are hereby authorized in the several
<br />departments, divisions and offices of the City of Lakewood, as modified herein, and with the approvai
<br />of the Department Director, Director of Finance, Human Resources Director and Mayor Effective
<br />with the passage of this ordinance, ail cmrant full-time, certain part-time, annual salaried and hourly
<br />rate employees shall receive a general increase to their existing pay of three percent (3%), said increase
<br />to be retroactive to J_a_n,_,uary 1, 2005 This general increase shall take effect only if the result does not
<br />increase any employee s rate of pay to an amount greater than the maximum rate for the pay grade to
<br />whinh the their classification is assigned as follows'
