Ordinance No 91-05 <br /> <br />PLACED ON 1ST READING & REFERRED TO THE RULES & <br />ORDINANCES COMMITTEE 10/3/05. <br />SECOND READING 10/17/05. <br /> By' Councilman Denis Dum~ <br /> <br /> Corrigan, Dero~De~er~Fi~zge~at~:;~Seelie, <br /> <br />AN O1LDINANCE TO ESTABLSIH SECTION 111.11 OF THE LAKEWOOD <br />CODIFIED ORDINANCES, THEKEBY AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER <br />INTO AN AGREEMENT TO PERMIT THE CITY TO JOIN THE NORTHEAST OHIO <br />SOURCING OFFICE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 167 of the Ohio Revised Code, a council of regional <br />governments has been formed by cer[aln counties, cities and other units of local <br />government located in Ashtabula, Columbiana, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, <br />Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, Tmmbull and Wayne Counties (the <br />"Northeast Ohio Sourcing Office"); <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Northeast Ohio Sourcing Office's purpose is to procure those goods and <br />servmes necessary and useful to its Members; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, under Chapter 111 of the Lakewood Codified Ordinances, certain contracts <br />for goods and services require the approval of this Council before any Such contract may <br />be enforced against this City; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the By-Laws of the Northeast Ohio Sourcing Office explicitly states that <br />such shall not displace any of its Members' existing statutory powers; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a copy of the Northeast Ohio Sourcing Office's By-Laws are attached <br />hereto <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD: <br /> <br />Section h That the Mayor is hereby author/zed and directed to enter into an agreement <br />and take those steps deemed necessary and useful in order for this City to become a <br />Member as that term is defined in the attached By-Laws <br /> <br />Section 2 The attached By-Laws are hereby incorporated into this Ordinance by this <br />Reference <br /> <br />Section ? That it is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to this legislation were adopted in an open meeting of this <br />Council and that ail deliberations of this Council and of any of/ts committees that <br />resulted in such formal actions were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all <br />legal requirements. <br /> <br />Adopted:~~5~ <br /> <br />Approved~7/*~r, '2~! 9~o~'~ <br /> <br />PRESIDENT <br /> <br /> <br />
