PLACED ON 1ST READING & REFERRED TO THE FINANCE COMMITTEE 10/3/05. ORDINANCE NO: 92-OS BY' Corrigan, Demro, Dever, Dunn, FitzGerald, Madigan, Seelie. AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to establish additional appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures of the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio, for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2005. WHEREAS, this Council desires to establish additional appropriations to specific funds budgeted in the initial appropriations for the fiscal year by Ordinance 6-05, and WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto determines that this ordinance is an emergency measure, and that this ordinance shall take effect at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, SECTONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND AMENDED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, and- that it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public property, health and safety, and to provide for the usual daily operation of municipal departments in that this. Ordinance is necessary to complete projects planned for the year 2004. Now Therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO Section 1. That Director or Finance is hereby authorized and director to increase appropriations in the following funds by the amount stated below: Law Enforcement Trust Fund $70,000 Community Development Block Grant Fund $162,809 Section 2. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to draw checks upon the City depositories for the amounts appropriated in this ordinance whenever claims are- presented, properly approved. by the head of the department for which the indebtedness is incurred, providing the President of Council or his/her designees shall approve all claims of the City Council. Section 3. In accordance with Article III, Section 12, of the Charter of the City of Lakewood, Council hereby determines that the manner of giving notice of the passage of this ordinance is to be by posting copies hereof for a period of not less than fifteen (15) days in not less than five (5) of the most public .places in the City, which places have been determined by Council in Ordinance No. 55-59. Section 4. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the p"assage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council and of any of its committees, that resulted in such formal actions, were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements.
