PLACED ON 1ST READING & REFERRED TO THE <br /> FINANCE COMMITTEE 10/3/05. <br /> ORDINANCE NO: 92-OS BY' Corrigan, Demro, Dever, Dunn, <br /> FitzGerald, Madigan, Seelie. <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to establish additional appropriations for current <br /> expenses and other expenditures of the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio, for the fiscal <br /> <br /> year ending December 31, 2005. <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to establish additional appropriations to specific <br /> <br /> funds budgeted in the initial appropriations for the fiscal year by Ordinance 6-05, and <br /> WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto <br /> determines that this ordinance is an emergency measure, and that this ordinance shall <br /> <br /> take effect at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, SECTONS 10 and <br /> 13 of the SECOND AMENDED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, and- that it <br /> is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public property, health and safety, <br /> and to provide for the usual daily operation of municipal departments in that this. <br /> Ordinance is necessary to complete projects planned for the year 2004. Now <br /> Therefore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> Section 1. That Director or Finance is hereby authorized and director to <br /> increase appropriations in the following funds by the amount stated below: <br /> Law Enforcement Trust Fund $70,000 <br /> Community Development Block Grant Fund $162,809 <br /> Section 2. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to draw <br /> checks upon the City depositories for the amounts appropriated in this <br /> ordinance whenever claims are- presented, properly approved. by the head <br /> of the department for which the indebtedness is incurred, providing the <br /> President of Council or his/her designees shall approve all claims of the <br /> City Council. <br /> Section 3. In accordance with Article III, Section 12, of the Charter of the <br /> City of Lakewood, Council hereby determines that the manner of giving <br /> notice of the passage of this ordinance is to be by posting copies hereof <br /> for a period of not less than fifteen (15) days in not less than five (5) of the <br /> most public .places in the City, which places have been determined by <br /> Council in Ordinance No. 55-59. <br /> Section 4. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br /> Council concerning and relating to the p"assage of this ordinance were <br /> adopted in an open meeting of this Council and of any of its committees, <br /> that resulted in such formal actions, were in meetings open to the public in <br /> compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />
