PLACED ON 1ST READING & REFERRED TO THE <br />HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES COMMITTEE 10/17/05 <br />PLACED ON 2ND READING 1i/7/05, <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 95-05 <br /> <br />FitzGerald, Seelie. <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE establishing rates for participation in the Community Diversion <br />Program, a program authorized by the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court and <br />administered by the Lakewood Department of Human Services/Division of Youth, <br />effective January 1, 2006. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court reports that approximately two- <br />thirds of the Court authOrized programs in the County collect some kind of fine or fee <br />for their respective programs, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, these fees range between $25.00 and $75.00, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ the Community Diversion Program is currently offered to eligible <br />Lakewood residents with no fee attached, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the cost to operate the Community Diversion Program is in part <br />funded through a contract with the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court, and <br /> <br /> WHERASl the fees collected would be applied directly to further offset Costs <br />attributed to the administration of this Program and would be deposited to the existing <br />City of Lakewood Juvenile Diversion account cost center. Now therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1. ll~at the fee for participation in the Community Diversion Program <br />administered by the Department of Human Services/Division of Youth be and the same <br />are hereby established effective January 1, 2005 as follows: <br /> <br />Lakewood Deeartment of Human Services/Division of Youth <br /> Community Diversion Proqram <br /> <br />Participation fee $40.00 <br /> <br /> Section 2.
